This 10 week program focuses on the finer points of pitching and preparing the athlete to pitch competitively for the start of the season. Players will progress each week from breaking down mechanics through drill work to ultimately throwing simulated innings to catchers. Small groups ensure that each player will receive plenty of individual attention while benefiting from visual learning of other players their age. Every week, players will go through a series of “throwing progressions” to improve on the basic fundamentals of proper throwing technique. In addition, players will go through a progressive long-toss program which allows the athlete to stretch the arm and gain strength prior to getting on the mound for drills.
*The 11U/12U age group will also cover pitching from the stretch and managing the run-game to prepare for any player pitching on the 50’ transition mound in the spring.
