COVID-19 Action Plan

A message from RBI Baseball Academy and GBG Northeast:

RBI Baseball Academy is committed to ensuring the safest and healthiest training environment possible for our athletes.  While we are taking COVID-19 very seriously and following all local and state guidelines, we also believe physical activity is imperative for teenagers, pre-teenagers, and younger. We are committed to provide healthy options for our athletes to get out of the house, off their computers, and into an environment that will focus on their overall health.

When at RBI you are 100% required to wear a mask and follow all guidelines issued by the state.  We have listed many of them below to help give you a better understanding of what we are doing as a staff, and what you are expected to do as an athlete training at RBI.

RBI does not create Covid-19 policy.  We are a baseball training center.  We follow the current guidelines issued by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as well as our valued medical advisors and consultants.

The current links to important information issued by the state of Massachusetts can be found below.  Anyone training at RBI is required to follow the current guidelines on quarantining due to exposure to a close contact.  You must also ensure that prior to coming to RBI you or anyone else in your household is not experiences any symptoms of Covid.  Those can be found here

Current Guidelines issued by the state of Massachusetts

(Reminder, RBI Baseball and GBG Northeast do not create these guidelines)

Overall Guidelines:

How do I know if you are a "Close Contact":

Guidelines for Quarantine (RBI follows these guidelines and does not create our own):

What are we doing at RBI to provide a safe training environment?

  • RBI is constantly updating our procedures and policies to ensure we are always not only within Board of Health guidelines, but exceeding them.
  • Surfaces and commonly used objects will be wiped down regularly with EPA approved cleaning agents including doors, training tools, desks, computers, screens, etc
  • Limited the number of total people in the facility using the guidelines and orders from the CDC as well as the state and local governments
  • Creating groups and cohorts per CDC and Massachusetts Guidelines to ensure proper distancing of teams/groups.
  • Training staff on proper use of personal protective equipment as well as training staff on executing operations, both baseball-related and other, while maintaining social/physical distance
  • Providing multiple entrances to limit traffic through each entrance
  • Strategically locating hand sanitizing stations near every entrance that anyone entering and exiting the facility will have easy access to.
  • Removing all seating areas to avoid close contact.
  • Purchasing all of our coaches masks that they will wear during all training at RBI.
  • RBI also reserves the right to require temperature scans on any athletes entering the facility
  • We will not be open to the public and will only be open to scheduled participants in our programming.
  • Whenever possible we will prop all doors open to reduce the number of touches to those surfaces
What should you do to help maintain a safe and clean training environment?

  • The only people that should be in the building are athletes and coaches, parents should drop off at the door and are should not be inside.  If a parent must come in, please carefully pay attention to the designated viewing areas that are sectioned off.
  • Wash your hands before and after training at RBI for at least 20 seconds
  • Utilize the hand sanitizing stations provided upon entering and exiting the facility
  • Wear a mask upon entering the facility and do not remove it at any point throughout your training at RBI. We will remove this policy whenever the CDC recommends it is safe.
  • Wear batting gloves for ALL drills at RBI and do not remove them at any time.
