Pitching Or Catching Academy

Ages 13 - 14

This three week clinic will focus solely on the finer points of either pitching or catching.  Players will choose to pitch or catch for the entire 3-week session.  We will break down the mechanics of each skill to give both pitchers and catchers the proper techniques needed to improve.  Pitchers will look to improve on skills such as adjusting to the 60’ mound distance, pitching from the stretch, holding base runners, fastball location, developing off-speed pitches, and more.  Among some of the skills the catchers will have a chance to develop is their ability to receive the ball, stance and positioning, footwork behind the plate, and their technique on throwing out base stealers.  Players will benefit greatly from this specialty clinic and gain a better understanding of what it takes to succeed as pitchers/catchers on the big diamond and into the high school ranks.
