The staff is hand picked to ensure the highest quality of instruction. Each staff member at the Nomar Garciaparra Summer Baseball Clinic and RBI Baseball Academy is committed to providing each participant with a safe, enjoyable experience

RBI Baseball Clinic Staff Directors

JOHN CASEY - Head Baseball Coach at Tufts University

Coach Casey is 1980 graduate of Tufts and helped pitch the Jumbos to three consecutive ECAC Division II-III Tournament appearances. A native of nearby Jamaica Plain, Casey is a member of the NCAA Division III Baseball Committee. Regionally, he is chair of the New England’s Division III Selection and All-Star committees, and is secretary-treasurer of the New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association. He has worked various
baseball camps and was the Hitting Coordinator at the New England Baseball Camp.

CHRIS WELCH – General Manager of RBI Baseball

Coach Welch graduated from Bridgewater State College in 2001. Chris earned a Bachelor of Science in Operations Management. While as a starting pitcher for Bridgewater, he helped lead the Bears to NCAA regional berths in 2000 and 2001. Chris was a four year All-New England selection by the NCAA. During college Chris was a member of the Manchester Silkworms of the New England Collegiate Baseball League. After college Chris was signed to a professional contract by the Johnstown Johnnies of the Frontier League. Chris is currently a member of the Easton Huskies of the Cranberry League. Chris is a Director of the Jason Varitek Summer Baseball Camps and the Terry Francona Winter Hitting Clinics. He has also served as director for the Trot Nixon and Nomar Garciaparra Summer Baseball Camps. Chris is a native of Brockton, MA and currently resides in Rehoboth, MA with his wife Regina and daughter Madeline.
